This annual weekend kicks off the fall harvest season with a race through Leelanau wine country followed by a wine and food tour. The event features crisp and bright cool-climate wines and culinary delights that reflect the season’s bounty. This exciting fall event includes a self-guided tour along the trail, where you’re free to visit any of the 26 participating wineries in any order you choose on both Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets for the tour are $40 and include a souvenir wine glass along with a featured wine and small-bite food pairings at all 26 participating wineries. After your featured pairing, most wineries offer an additional complimentary 2 tastes. Purchase your tickets by selecting a starting winery where you will check-in to the event and pick up your supplies before charting your own course to participating wineries in any order you choose. Tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday. Designated Driver tickets are available for $20 and include the small bites.

Don’t want to drive?
Find a willing friend and purchase an additional designated driver ticket for just $20. Your driver can still enjoy the food pairings while he/she takes you from winery to winery. You can also take your food and wine tour via bus or limo by contacting one of our transportation partners. We encourage you to contact them prior to purchasing your tickets and a starting point. The 10k Run & 5k Walk/Run take participants through vineyard rows where plump, soon-to-be picked grapes await the fall harvest and along the adjacent Leelanau Trail. In conjunction with the two-day Harvest Stompede event, a self-guided wine and food pairing tour of the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, this unique departure from a typical running course offers an unparalleled experience for both serious and recreational runners or walkers. Wine tour tickets are not included or required with your race registration. A wicking tank top is optional ($12) for entries received by August 19. The price is $20 for the 5k and $25 for the 10k. Prices from August 20 until the close of on-line registration September 7 is $25 and $30. Register at packet pickup or on race day for $30 and $35. Post-race snacks will be provided.
10k & 5k Awards: Top overall M/F, top master M/F, (40-49) top grandmaster M/F (50-59) and top master of longevity M/F. (60+) Top 3 in each age group with 5-year increments including 10 & under and 70 & over. Award ceremony will be at 10:15.
Packet Pick-up/Late Registration: Friday 4-7 p.m. at Shady Lane Cellars and Saturday 7-8:30 a.m. at Shady Lane Cellars.
Other Information: Corral Start- Fastest runners at the front. Walkers, please file in towards the back. RFID Chip Timing by Endurance Evolution of Traverse City. Qualified Race – Traverse City Track Club’s Grand Prix Race Circuit. No strollers due to the vineyard terrain and no pets due to the narrow course. Parking in Shady Lane Cellars designated area only. No parking along the road. A limited number of tanks will be available for sale on race day.
