QUALIFICATIONS

 Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
 Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Green Bird Organic Cellars and Farms,  Northport

We are looking for positive, friendly wine-lovers to join our team at the only organic vineyard in Michigan. We are a family-owned, boutique winery producing fewer than 1000 cases of handcrafted wine and hard-cider each year and we are looking for Tasting Room Servers who will best embody the Green Bird vision and brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide the first line of communication to the guest by greeting, directing and answering questions regarding our wines, history, organic vineyard and farm
• Communicate in a knowledgeable, professional and gracious manner that is consistent with the mission of Green Bird
• Serve samples of wine, sharing appropriate information with guests in both individual and group settings
• Accurately use the Square point of sale system to conduct sales and maintain tasting room inventory
• Promote the wine club and process sign-ups
• Perform housekeeping of tasting room, restroom and patio
• Perform opening and closing checklist duties

QUALIFICATIONS
• Wine and cider appreciation is necessary for this position
• Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate product information to guests
• Ability to establish priorities and work independently
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Strong organizational ability, exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
• Previous customer service and retail experience preferred
• Ability to stand, move, or walk for extended periods of time up to 7 hours
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30lbs

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• No experience necessary for the right candidate, but 1-3 years of applicable experience is preferred
• High School diploma required, college degree a plus
• Must be 21 or older

Ciccone Vineyard & Winery Team Members must be customer service focused, hard-working, able to stay cool under pressure in our fast-paced environment and be willing to go above and beyond for the customer. An idyllic team member is able to adapt quickly to different types of people and situations, able to learn and retain new wines and products, be a team-player and get along with co-workers, and should have a fun and outgoing personality. Event team members must be willing to work most Saturdays, lift and move tables/chairs, make last-minute changes, and enjoy weddings. We are seeking permanent part time members willing to work 2-3 days a week with flexible scheduling and crossing over between both departments. Applicants must be willing to work weekends, holidays and be able to lift 25 pounds. We pay an hourly wage plus tips. Assistant Tasting Room Manager

Assistant Tasting Room Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the Laurentide tasting room. Ideal candidate will be a representative of our award winning brand, directly converting visitors into returning customers creating an unparalleled wine tasting experience in Northern Michigan. Generating sales and meeting club goals will be of primary importance in succeeding in this role. Potential for career growth into the Tasting Room Manager role based on performance.

Essential Requirements:

Tasting Room Associate

Position Summary:
Under the general direction of and the direct supervision of the Marketing Director or Tasting Room Manager, the Tasting Room Associate is responsible for efficiently and effectively promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products through customer service and providing consumers with a meaningful wine tasting and experience.  All efforts are focused on attaining monthly sales goals while providing gracious hospitality to consumers and trade.

Job Requirements:

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education:
