Wine: Abbondanza: An off-dry blend of Muscat, Cayuga, and Viognier, plus the addition of two local tart cherries (Montmorency & Balaton)
Food: Shrimp & Apricot Cous Cous with Cherry Republic Dried Cherries of course.
Why: Enough with the hearty wintertime stews and comfort foods. We need something light and refreshing! Nothing tastes better in early spring than a fresh meal of seafood and fruits. Happy Spring!
Bob Sutherland, founded Cherry Republic in 1989. The company today boasts over 160 cherry products, most of which can be sampled at his Glen Arbor and Traverse City locations. The Winery, about to embark on its 6th summer, is a completely different tasting experience with many new changes to unveil.
