Congratulations to Carla Sutton, whose work was chosen for the Second Annual Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Commemorative Print Contest!

Leelanau Peninsula Vintners “The Boskydel” Print Release Party

Join artist Carla Sutton on Friday October 6, 2006 at the Michigan Artists Gallery in Suttons Bay from 6 to 9 pm as we officially release her award winning print “The Boskydel.” A tribute to Leelanau Peninsula’s first vintner Bernie Rink, “The Boskydel” captures the scenic beauty of Rink’s vineyard that overlooks Lake Leelanau.

A tasting of wines from the Leelanau Peninsula including Boskydel as well an assortment of appetizers will be served.

Limited signed prints and numbered prints will be available for $50.00 with proceeds benefiting the Leelanau Peninsula Cultural Arts Fund. The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners support and contribute several art and cultural endeavors throughout the year.

    If Boskydel winery is the oldest winery in the area, why is there no posting of it's address in any of your ads. I could't find it listed in the Wine Trail 2006-2007, just it's name on page 2. So whats up with that.

    Hey Jim, Boskydel has chosen not to be a member of the LPVA. If you knew Bernie, you wouldn't be surprised - he's kind of a lone wolf!
