About This Event
This annual event is sponsored by the Traverse City Track Club and hosted by the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Makers. This course is open to the public only on race day and takes place through a matrix of vineyard rows and trails in the majestic rolling hills of Leelanau Peninsula. Race starts at 9am. It is coupled with a wine tasting weekend and has been enjoyed by both the competitive runner and the curious walker. FYI-the wine tickets sell out annually. Wine tour tickets sold separately and will be available in early May.
T-shirts
Once again, PARTICIPANTS NEED TO SIGN UP BEFORE 9pm ON 9-08-09 IN ORDER TO RECIEVE A T-SHIRT. We try to give high quality, long sleeve, newly designed shirts and due to the subsequent increased cost, cannot afford to order shirts that may not get purchased. You will still be able to sign up 9-9-09 through 9-17-09 at the same price (online) but this WILL NOT include a t-shirt. We will not mail shirts to people who do not show up for the event. Registration fees non-refundable.
Why
This is a ONE OF A KIND course and offers the option of participating in the popular local wine tasting tour. The course provides landscape views that are unrivaled. Both courses wind through vineyard rows that allow for viewing of nearby participant positions. Medals go 3 deep in each age group. The walk has become popular and we intend for it to stay non-competitive. Last year we had over 900 total participants. We have Chip timing. Bragging rights provided at the finish line. Wine tickets available at www.lpwines.com. All proceeds go the Cherryland Humane Society.

To whom it may concern: I understand through Nate Rousch R.N. N.P. that you hire shuttle buses for this event. We have nothing booked for that Sat. as of yet but are getting booked up fast so if you are interested a call a.s.a.p. would be recommended. We have a 14 passenger short bus.We do wine tours, private parties, golf outings and more. Thank-you for your time. Thank-you. Kim at Cherry Country Group Shuttle Tours L.L.C. 231-944-9298
We would very much like to sign-up for the Harvest Stompede! However, due to our timing we are extremely disappointed to learn that we may not qualify to receive t-shirts that we were so hoping to get!!
Looking at the calendar we are just two days late and would love to participate and make registration for two knowing we have confirmation of receiving two long sleeve t-shirts.
Please if there is anyway at all that you could swing
two extra long sleeve t-shirts (1) large and (1) small
we would greatly appreciate your correspondence.
Looking forward to hearing from you with good news!!!
Wow, make our day!!!

Gay,
You will need to contact the race organizers. You can find the info to do so on the registration page – https://www.signmeup.com/site/reg/register.aspx?fid=GK2V6K7
The race is a separate event than the wine tour and not organized by the LPVA….
Is there a map of the 7 mile trail race online somewhere? Thanks.
Are dogs allowed on the 5K Walk?
When will the race results (and where) be posted?
Thanks.
